Just curious...

I've always wondered how many people actually read the ol' blog. It tells me I have 8 "followers" but I know I stalk many a blog without "following" that blog. I'm just kind of curious who all my audience is...So, if you're reading this, could you do me a solid and write a little comment? And so you don't have to write something like "I am one of your stalkers" I will give you a question to answer:

How do you like your bananas?

Cary and I often argue in the produce section over which bananas to choose. He likes his all yellow, no green in sight, and maybe even with a few little brown parts. I am a freakazoid and I like mine just about as green as I can buy them. The kind that are so not ripe that the peel is kind of hard to get off. Once there is no green left on them, their only purpose for existence for me is in banana bread.

  1. I'm here! But I'm also listed as a follower (I think) which makes me feel less like a stalker... hope you don't mind :)

  2. I don't do that "follow" jazz. And I don't care for bananas, but I'm fond of bononos and boynoynoys.

  4. I'm half a stalker because I follow you, but I do it anonymously.
I like bananas when they are flecked with brown and have a golden hue because that's when they taste the best and are the best for you. (according to the Chiquita banana song.) But it doesn't really matter to me because I only eat them in my oatmeal in the morning and they all taste the same microwaved anyway.
Btw - how do you know the Heaths? (Mitch and Kadi) They were in our ward in Provo.

  5. I generally don't like bananas. But I do find them delightful smashed up and mixed into my pancakes (yes, I pulled a Jack Johnson on you). Banana pancakes a wonderful, with a little caramel syrup to go with. Yum!

  8. Um I might be your most loyal follower. I check this thing daily. You should post more. And I probably would be considered a stalker because I know basically everything about you. What up!

  9. dear amy, if a banana has a a single tiny brown dot on it, i feed it to my roommates. well actually that's a SLIGHT exaggeration because around here food is a pretty hot commodity, but it's fairly accurate anyway

  10. I'm totally a stalker. But i'm totally legit cause we're internet friends even though I think we barely talked in real life like ever which is such a shame, cause I'm sure we could enjoy Diet Coke and Baked goods together in total bliss!

And I like the bananas super green that way when they ripen we have more time to eat them, and still have the option at the end to make banana bread!

  11. so...jonathan and i spent our entire sunday evening reading back on old entries on your blog. i can't tell you how many times he would say, "i think you two will be good friends." it was mostly after you made a comment about food. i'm glad you're here. i need someone else who will really enjoy food with me:)

i like bananas somewhat green. i used to work at an ice cream place, and i found that the greenish bananas gave a better flavor to shakes than the ripe ones. and i liked the texture better. and they didn't taste like banana now and laters (who eats those, anyway?) without the green, they are best for my husband, child, and baking.

  12. I stalk you on occasion. It's fun to see what other people are doing. But I may point out this may be the only comment you'll ever get from me. Because usually I'm to lazy to comment. Currently I'm avoiding a paper so you're in luck. :)

  13. I follow you. :) And I stalk you when Derek naps - which is not consistent these days. And I hate bananas, but I usually buy them with green at the tips.

  14. Stalker. But only because I don't follow anyone. :-) And I like my bananas pretty much anyway except bruised. Although they are best under ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream on top or in banana bread, I also occasionally enjoy them sliced into my cereal...but only rarely.

And for the record. I don't think you are awkward. :-)

  15. I've only just begun the banana stalking. :-P

I like them between green and yellow. I hate brown spots. I cut them out or don't eat them or ask Patrick to... or, shh, give them to Bella with the brown facing away so she can't tell it's there. Wow, that sounds horrible.

I also like them sliced up and put in my ice cream, with peanut butter, and magic shell, and maybe some hot cocoa powder. Yes, really.

And my favorite milkshake is a chocolate banana milkshake with marshmallows. Yummm

Can you tell I really just like ice cream?

  16. I just found your link on fb.
    Maybe I'm a new stalker???
I often buy bananas but then usually never eat them, I can't figure out why. I like to buy them just past their green point, and when I do decide to eat them I slice them up over a bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top. Quite delicious.

  17. Ameztechick. You know I stalk this thing. I like my bananas yellow. And I had banana caramel crunch at coldstone last night and I about died and went to heaven, it was that good. Anything banana fosters, and I'm done for. Cool. P.S. I decided to actually blog again. Check. it. out.

  18. I stalk it, though I guess I don't say much!

I actually love really ripe bananas, but most of the time, they end up in banana bread as well!

  19. I just can't get green bananas to peel so I prefer them yellow with a brown spot or two. However, very ripe bananas are great in bread and pecan pancakes.
Didn't know about the blog until Sarah was shopping and need me to check the ingredients for one your recipes. I enjoyed reading and laughing. It's great!

  20. I don't eat bananas anymore, they make my throat burn, and now my eye twitches periodically from lack of potassium. But back in the day, it was all yellow - no green, and absolutely no brown.

You have an interesting brain to swim through. I do peruse occasionally, though I cannot say I'm a stalker. Haha.
